PEI is one of the provinces which accepts immigrants through Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). PEI-PNP consists of four sub-categories one of which is Immigrant Partner Category. Immigrant Partner requirement Criteria:
- A minimum net worth of $400,000 CDN.
- Must be prepared to make a $105,000 CDN investment in an eligible PEI company and to place $25,000 CDN in escrow with the Government of PEI, to be returned on evidence of one year's residency in PEI.
- Less than 55 years of age;
- A minimum 14 years of education, including one (or more) post-secondary certificates or degrees;
- Capable of being interviewed in English or French;
- Has several years of management of a his/her own business or have management experience in a profitable company;
- PEI will accept applicants who are not yet able to speak English or French, but the applicant must deposit $20,000 CDN in escrow with the government of PEI. The $20,000 CDN is refundable after applicant landed in PEI and provided the proof of English proficiency.
- The candidate still can apply without meeting all the above criteria if they score 50 points out of 100 points.
