The aim of this program is to provide information on the investor category. The investor category was introduced in 1994 to encourage wealthy individuals to invest at least 750.000 (U.K. pounds) in the United Kingdom. Investors cannot take employment other than self-employed or business.
Setting up a Business
The aim of this program is to provide information on another form of permit free employment available to overseas nationals- that of a businessman or self-employed person. The business can take the form of a sole trader or partnership or registered U.K. company and the overseas national must invest at least 200.000(U.K pounds) in business and create at least two jobs for resident workers.
Innovators
The applicant must show an exceptional and new Business Plan and he must have enough funds to set up his project. After the business has been set up, two new job opportunities must be created for U.K citizens.
Retired Person of Independent Means
The aim of this program is to provide guidance on the retired person of independence means category. Certain retired overseas nationals can live in the United Kingdom as retired person of independent means with their families if they hold valid entry for this purpose.
Highly Skilled Migrant Person
This program is for the people who have at least B.A. degree and have done great jobs relating to their field of study.
Writers, Sculptors, professional photographers and Artists
The applicant must prove that he/she has been active in the mentioned fields and must be able to support himself and his dependents.
