Federal Program:
The Business Immigration Program seeks to attract experienced business people to Canada who will support the development of a strong and prosperous Canadian economy.
Canada is the second largest country in the world, rich in natural resources and diverse in culture and business activities. Among six countries of Germany, France, U.S.A, U.K, Italy and Japan, Canada ranked as the first country with the lowest cost of living, best quality of life, best education and free health care system (statistic 2004).
The official languages in Canada are English and French. The largest cities are Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal. The population of Canada is about 32 Million (statistic 2005).
Inflation in Canada has been about 2.4% in a period of five years. For several years now, Canada has been accepting about a quarter of a million new Permanent Residents each year.
The Business Immigration Program which has been designed by the government of Canada has three classes of business immigrants. These programs attract business people to Canada who will support the development of a strong and prosperous Canadian economy.
Canada is home to 150 languages and people from more than 200 countries. A major advantage of living in Canada is that, in most locations, it's possible to buy a comfortable, large, detached house on a normal income.
Investors
- The Immigrant Investor Program seeks to attract experienced business applicants to Canada.
- The applicant must have at least 2 years of business experience as a senior manger or a business owner within last 5 years,
- Have a net worth of at least CDN $800,000,
- Make an investment of CDN $ 400,000 for a period of 5 years without interest or pay a sum of CDN $ 120,000 non- refundable.
- Meet medical and security requirements (applicant and accompanying family members),
- Meet other pertaining requirements Quebec immigration regulates,
- If applicant did not get points for Age, Education and Languages ability but scored at least as 35 points, he / she may still be eligible based on the overall strength of the case.
Entrepreneurs
The Entrepreneur Program seeks to attract experienced persons who will own and actively manage businesses in Canada that will contribute to the economy and create jobs. Entrepreneurs must demonstrate business experience and must establish a business in Canada within 3 years from the date the applicant land in Canada. To be eligible under this program, you must meet the following requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of business experience within the last 5 years from the date of applications,
- Have a net worth of at least CDN $ 300,000 that was obtained legally,
- Meet the selection criteria for the Entrepreneur Program,
- Meet medical, security and other requirements,
Self-employee
Self-employed persons must have the intention and ability to create their own employment. They are expected to contribute to the cultural or athletic life of Canada. They may create their own employment by purchasing and managing a farm in Canada. Applicant will be assessed on selection criteria that include experience, education, age, language abilities and adaptability. Experience in this category participation at a world-class level in cultural activities or athletics or own and have management experience of running a farm.
